On May 24th, the “2019 Yangtze River Delta Economic Circle Smart Supply Chain Summit Forum” hosted by China Intelligent Manufacturing 100 and China Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Network was held in Shanghai. This meeting invited supply chain management experts and manufacturers representatives from all walks of life to discuss Innovation and transformation of supply chain technology and supply chain management in the context of intelligent manufacturing, showing the practical results of various enterprises and institutions in the supply chain.

Liu Minglei, Secretary General of China Intelligent Manufacturing 100, presided over the forum and welcomed the guests and business representatives. Du Yuhe, Secretary-General of Industry 4.0 Club, first addressed the opening ceremony. He believes that the global economy has entered the supply chain era, and competition among enterprises has begun to transform into competition among supply chains. Expert member of China Intelligent Manufacturing 100-member Association, supply chain lean management expert, Ouyang Sheng followed up with a keynote speech on lean intelligent manufacturing and supply chain transformation. He said that supply chain transformation and innovation have adapted to the needs of national supply-side reform and development. The innovative development of the smart supply chain will fundamentally change the way modern enterprises operate and promote restructuring and iteration of the entire manufacturing industry.

Wang Qi, a senior program architect from Acloudear, delivered a speech on the era of wisdom and achievement of extraordinary enterprises – digital transformation of enterprises and construction of smart enterprises. He believes that the smart supply chain should be based on the digitalization and intelligent transformation of the entire business. The digital core is the internal driving force of the smart supply chain. Therefore, the construction of the intelligent supply chain should take digitalization as the core and be driven intelligently, and the internal digitalization transformation should drive the coordination of the whole business.

He emphasized the necessity of building an intelligent enterprise through the practical needs of digital transformation, the value of intelligent production and intelligent manufacturing. At the same time, he also illustrates the role of SAP in promoting digital innovation practice and intelligent manufacturing, how SAP innovates to realize intelligent enterprises, and provides strategies for digital transformation of growing enterprises. Finally, he pointed out that the construction of intelligent enterprises in growing manufacturing enterprises should be oriented in four directions: intellectualization, digitalization, informationization and automation.

It is understood that this summit also opened a seminar on smart + new power in the intelligent manufacturing factory of Shanghai Second Polytechnic University. Through visiting and participating in the on-site virtual simulation laboratory, we can truly feel the changes brought by intelligent manufacturing and industry 4.0.
